One Side Wonders #4: Friday’s Keepers – Take Me For a Ride (196?)

FridaysKeepers_labelThis one truly is a mystery as nothing is known about the band that recorded this single. Even the year of release is uncertain, though we can speculate from the sounds on offer that it must have been the late 60s. The Momentum label appears to have been based in Hollywood, so we can also surmise that the group (assuming that they weren’t just a studio project) were from California.

The music is delightfully dreamy psychedelia with harmony vocals and the almost constant presence of very effective backwards guitar, and even a touch of orchestration towards the end of the song.
